Pod Inn - Launceston

The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to shops and the beautiful Cataract Gorge. The communal areas were clean, and I appreciated the secure atmosphere with helpful staff.

The location was very central, PERFECT in the public access area. Plus, it was near to the restaurant, eating places, pubs, supermarkets, shops and a food court close by a supermarket and heart of Launceston and two carparks.

The private capsules are cozy and feature USB charging sockets. The communal kitchen area is equipped and clean for a satisfying cooking experience.

The pods at Pod Inn felt really cozy and unique, like being in a mini spaceship. I loved that my pod had USB charging sockets, super convenient for my devices. The shared kitchen was a plus, equipped well for cooking, and everything stayed clean. The bathrooms could use more attention. They felt a bit neglected with some cleanliness issues. There was also a bit of noise when people moved around at night. The experience was interesting, but a few tweaks could really elevate it.

For easy cooking, utilize the communal kitchen with basic supplies, but bring your own mat to avoid a wet floor after showering.

Lockers in DO4 Pod are difficult to access and poorly located near a busy hallway. Bathrooms require more attention to cleanliness, as I encountered dark showers lacking visibility, and facilities could use additional toilets and showers due to high demand. Parking isn't on-site as advertised. It's public pay and display, which isn't ideal for travelers with vehicles.

Unique stay with cool privacy features

I stayed for one night in a Beautiful Capsule Bed and found the pod privacy great, and the bed pretty comfy. The setup was interesting, really seemed like I was in a space shuttle! The bathrooms could use some tidying up, and I noticed some ventilation issues that could lead to problems over time.
